Ed Sternisha is a dedicated attorney and police officer with a passion for justice. His unique dual roles give him the insight needed to serve fairly as judge. Ed also has a small farm and understands the rural and agricultural community that the 8th Circuit Court serves. Here Ed Sternisha is with his children on a 1948 Ford 8N tractor.
With extensive experience as both attorney and police officer, Ed offers a balanced perspective rooted in fairness and integrity. Ed is dedicated to ensuring litigants feel the courtroom is unbiased and fair. Here, Ed is with his daughter before he begins a 12-hour shift as an officer.

As a father, husband, and farmer, Ed Sternisha is committed to serving with honesty and community care. His family raises miniature donkeys, goats, ducks, and chickens and he enjoys the peace the animals bring after a long day in the courtroom or on patrol. Here Ed's son is with two of their donkeys.

There is NO ONE who does what Ed Sternisha does. He is an attorney and a police officer at the same time. Ed Sternisha LOVES the law and wants it to work the way it should. He has helped police understand how defense attorneys challenge cases, making them better officers, and he trains attorneys how police operate so they can better serve their clients. Ed has also taught as an adjunct law professor and authored a section of a legal textbook used by lawyers and judges. These are only some of the reasons Ed Sternisha would make an excellent judge. He does not lean to one side - he follows the law.
